Let the distance between the spaceship and the ground station be '$S$' .
Then, $S=vt$
where, $v=$ speed of signal $=3\times {10}^{8}m/s$
$t=$ time taken $=5min=5\times 60s=300s$
$\therefore s=3\times {10}^8\times 300=9\times {10}^{10}m$
