Artificial satellites are man-made, and are launched from the earth's surface into an orbit around the earth. They are very small compared to the earth's only natural satellite, the Moon. Also, the earth's artifical satellites are closer to it compared to the Moon, which is at a distance of about 3,84,400 km. We cannot see any artificial satellite in the sky with naked eyes, as they are far from us, and hence, appear tiny. However, the Moon is about 14th of the earth in size, and appears bigger than any other object in the night sky.
