Energy resources are natural sources of energy that can be converted into other forms of energy to do useful work. Examples of natural resources are solar energy, hydrothermal energy, geothermal energy etc.
Fossil fuels are energy resources that come from decayed organic matter from plants and animals that lived millions of years ago. Examples are- natural gas, coal, fuel oil.
