  • Sufism believed in the existence of one Allah and in the worship of no other god except Allah.
  • The Sufis believed in the omnipotence and omnipresence of Allah.
  • The importance of having a Pir or Guru to reach Allah was emphasised upon.
  • The Sufis also stressed on serving everybody, as they believed that Allah resided in everyone.
  • They also preached respect for other religions and condemned the caste system.
