Events are said to be events if the outcome of the second event depends on the outcome of the first event.

Dependent events are the one in which the outcome of one event depends upon the outcome of other.

For example: studying for exams is one event and getting good grades is another event. The more you study, more marks you will get and vice versa.
So, these two events are dependent on each other because occurance of one event is effecting the occurance of other.

Taking another example: drawing 2 purple colored tickets one after the other from a box having 10 blue and 6 purple tickets is also dependent event because drawing of second ticket is effected by the first.

So, they are also dependent events.
