Question

Explain cork-screw rule.

Open in App
Solution

The direction of the circular magnetic field around a current carrying conductor may be found by visualizing a right-handed corkscrew being rotated so that the point of the corkscrew moves in the direction of the flow of conventional current. The clockwise rotation of the corkscrew is the same as the direction of the magnetic field when looking along the line of current flow.
