Solution

ANSWER: Ocean thermal energy is that form of energy which utilizes the difference in the
temperature of sea or ocean water at the surface and at some distance beneath.
It can be harnesses by taking warm water from surface and using it to boil volatile material
like ammonia whose vapors are used to turn turbines and using cool water from deep
under sea to turn those vapors again to liquid
Its limitation is that the difference in temperature at almost 2 km depth and surface should
be more than 20 and second is that their efficient commercial exploitation is difficult
