Question

Explain why 7×11×13+13 and  7×6×5×4×3×2×1+5 are composite numbers.

Solution

7×11×13+13 = (7x11x13) +13 since multiplication is to be done before addition
                     = 13[7x11 + 1]
                     = 13 x 78 so it is a composite number
7×6×5×4×3×2×1+5 = 5[7x6x4x3x2x1] + 5(1)
                                  = 5[7x6x4x3x2x1 +1] which is a composite number since 5 is a dactor
