In order to convert a fraction into a decimal, we first convert it into an equivalent fraction with denominator 10 or 100 or 1000 and then write its numerator and mark decimal point after one place or two place or three places from right towards left, if the denominator is 10 or 100 or 1000 respectively.

$\therefore$$\frac{11}{20}$$\times$ $\frac{5}{5}$ = $\frac{55}{100}$ = 0.55 (multiplying and dividing $\frac{11}{20}$ by 5)
