Question

Factorise :
6x2+7x3

Open in App
Solution

In order to factorise 6x2+7x3, we have to find two numbers p and q such that p+q=7 and pq=18.

Clearly, 9+(2)=7 and 9×(2)=18.

So, we write the middle term 7x as 9x+(2x), i.e., 9x2x.

6x2+7x3=6x2+9x2x3

=3x(2x+3)1(2x+3)

=(2x+3)(3x1)
