$\frac{-1}{2}$ is ___ than $\frac{1}{5}.$

Given rational numbers are $\frac{-1}{2}$ and $\frac{1}{5}$
LCM of their denominators, i.e. 2 and 5 = 10
$\therefore \frac{-1\times 5}{2\times 5}=\frac{-5}{10}$ and $\frac{1\times 2}{5\times 2}=\frac{2}{10}$
$\therefore 2>-5$
So,$\frac{1}{5}>\frac{-1}{2}$
Hence, $\frac{-1}{2}$ is smaller than $\frac{1}{5}.$
