Solution

Group 'A'Group 'B'
(1) Cardiac muscles(b) we never feel tired.
(2) Are brought about
by muscles
(d) chewing movements of jaws.
(3) Pepsin(e) the enzyme of the gastric juice.
(4) Cramps(c) uncontrolled and painful contraction of muscles.
(5) Skeletal muscles(a) always function

1. Normal muscles like the skeletal muscles get fatigued (strenuous activities like exercise, sports, etc.) due to the formation of lactic acid as a result of anaerobic glycolysis. But cardiac muscles do not form lactic acid due to the presence of a rich capillary network that provides enough oxygen to the muscles.

2. Mastication, or the act of chewing, involves adduction and lateral motion of the jaw bone.

3. Pepsin is a stomach enzyme that serves to digest proteins found in ingested food.

4. A muscle cramp is a painful contraction or tightening of the muscles for a few seconds. They happen when the cells in the muscle respire anaerobically. The glucose in the muscles is converted into lactic acid, and the lactic acid accumulation causes cramps.

5. Muscles move body parts by contracting and then relaxing. Muscles can pull bones, but they can't push them back to their original position. So they work in pairs of flexors and extensors.
