Find  $$m$$ if $$\sqrt m$$  is  the least (smallest) rationalising factor of $$\displaystyle 2\sqrt{6}$$.


Solution

$$2{ \sqrt { 6 }  }= 2\sqrt { 6 } $$ and cannot be further simplified.
Thus $$\sqrt{6}$$ is the least rationalizing factor of the given number.
