(i) Area of the shaded region
={Area of the square with side21m}{Area of the circle with diameter21m}
If the diameter of the circle is 21 m
Then the radius of the circle =225=10.5 m
Area of the shaded region =(21×21)=(227×212×212)m2
=441346.5
=94.5m2
(ii) Area of shaded region ={Area of the square with side21m}{4×Area of the sector}
=(2121)(4×90360×222×212×212)m2$
(if diameter is 21m, then radius is 212m)
=(21×21)=(414×227×212×212)
=(441346.5)m2
=94.5m2
