Plot the points $A(0,4),B(-2,0)$ and $C(1,6)$ on the graph paper.

Join these points by a straight line $BC$

Area of the triangle$=\frac{1}{2}\times OA\times OB$

$=\frac{1}{2}\times 2\times 4=4$sq.units.
