Find the equation of a line which cuts off intercept $$5$$ on the $$x-$$ axis and makes an angle of $$60^{o}$$ with the positive direction of the $$x-$$ axis


Solution

The given line passes through the point $$(5,0)$$ and $$m=\tan 60^{o}=\sqrt{3}$$. 
So, the required equation is $$\dfrac{y-0}{x-5}=\sqrt{3}\Leftrightarrow y=\sqrt{3}(x-5)$$
