Find the equation of line whose $x -$ intercept is $- 3$ and which is perpendicular to the line $3 x + 5 y - 8 = 0$ .

Equation of line is perpendicular to $3 x + 5 y - 8 = 0$ is $5 x - 3 y + d = 0$
And its intercept on x-axis at $(- 3, 0)$
$5 (- 3) - 3 (0) + d = 0$
$d = 15$
Hence required equation is $5 x - 3 y + 15 = 0$
