Find the ratio of tension T1 and T2 in the string as shown in figure if the whole system is moving with constant acceleration of 4 m/s2 under the influence of force of magnitude 220 N acting on block of mass 15 kg . Assume the coefficient of friction to be μ=1/3 and g=10 m/s2.

The correct option is D 0.2

Since the whole system is having acceleration 4 m/s2, individual body will also have an acceleration 4 m/s2.
FBD of block of mass 3 kg,


T1f1=ma
T1μmg=maT1=(3×4)+(13×3×10)
T1=22 N(1)
FBD of block of mass 15 kg,


220T2f2=ma
T2=220μmgmaT2=220(13×15×10)(15×4)
T2=110 N(2) 
From (1) and (2),
T1T2=22110=0.2
