Find the value of k, if the line represented by the equation 3x – ky = 12 passes through the point (4,2). [2 MARKS]

Result : 1 Mark

3x – ky = 12

Putting x = 4 and y = 2 in the above equation will stisfy this equation as the line passes through(4,2), so we get

(3x4) – 2k = 12

2k = 12 - 12 = 0

k = 0
