Find the value of x and y

$\frac{5}{x - 1} + \frac{1}{y - 2} = 2$ and $\frac{6}{x - 1} - \frac{3}{y - 2} = 1$

$\frac{5}{x - 1} + \frac{1}{y - 2} = 2 \frac{6}{x - 1} - \frac{3}{y - 2} = 1$

Let $\frac{1}{x - 1} = x, \frac{1}{y - 2} = y$

$5 x + y = 2$ .......(1) $6 x - 3 y = 1$ ........(2)

$3 (1) + (2)$

$\Rightarrow 15 x + 3 y = 6$

$+ 6 x - 3 y = 1$

$¯ ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¯ 21 x = 7 \Rightarrow x = \frac{1}{3}, y = \frac{1}{3}$

$\frac{1}{x - 1} = \frac{1}{3}, \frac{1}{y - 2} = \frac{1}{3}$
