Five bulbs of eighty watt each two fans of hundred watt each an electric motor of three kilowatt and a geyser of five kilowatt are used for eight hours per day by a family. Calculate the total energy cosumed in thirty days and the cost of electricity used in one day at the rate of rupees five per unit.

Powrr used in one hour,
Bulbs=5*80=400w
Fans2*100=200w
Motor=3kw=3000w
Geyser=5kw=5000w

1 unit=1000whr=1kwhr

Total power used in a hour=400+200+3000+5000
=8600 w
=8.6kwhr
Total energy consumed in day=8.6kw*8
=68.8kwhr

Energy cost per day=68.8*5
=344rs

Energy used in one month=68.8*30
=2064kwhr

Energy cost for 30 days=344*30
=10320rs
