(i) 0.44 A (ii) 3.2 V


(i) For current through 6 Ω. 
Current from 4 V battery flows through first parallel branch having 6
Ω and 3 Ω in series
I = V/R, I =
49 = 0.44 A

(ii) For p.d. across 12 Ω
Current through second parallel branch
I = V/R, I = 415 
A potential difference across 12 Ω,
V = 415 × 12 = 3.2 V
