Solution

The correct option is C 35 kg
Fresh fruit contains 72% water So, 100 Kgs. of fresh fruits will contain 72 Kgs. of water and 28 Kgs. of solid material.

When 100 Kgs. of fresh fruits are dried, 28 Kgs. of solid material will remain while a part of the 72 Kgs. of water will evaporate.

Given that these 28 Kgs. of solid material will account for 80% of the overall weight of dried fruits (as only 20% of the weight in dried fruit is water).

If 80% of the weight of dry fruits =28 Kgs., then 100% of dry fruits will weigh 2880×100=35Kg
