According to the question, $\frac{5}{2}x-7=\frac{11}{2}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{5}{2}x=\frac{11}{2}+7\Rightarrow \frac{5}{2}x=\frac{11+14}{2}\Rightarrow \frac{5}{2}x=\frac{25}{2}\Rightarrow 5x=\frac{25\times 2}{2}\Rightarrow 5x=25\Rightarrow x=\frac{25}{5}\Rightarrow x=5$
