Give a brief account on chewing of food.

Chewing of food - Chewing of food occurs in mouth or Buccal Cavity or Oral Cavity. At the upper and lower jaw of buccal cavity 32 teeth (16 in upper and 16 in lower in adult) are present which helps in cutting and chewing of food. At the floor of mouth a muscular organ present known as Tongue. Tongue help to hold and move the food particles during chewing. Tongue also helps to detect taste with the help of taste buds present on it.
