Solution

Dimensional Analysis explanation

  1. Dimensional analysis is defined as the study of physical quantities along with their dimensions and units of measurement.
  2. It is used mainly to determine the unit of a particular physical quantity and for the conversion of units.
  3. All the units must be kept the same while solving any problem using dimensional analysis.
  4. There is a set of few base quantities whose dimensional symbols are predefined.
  5. With respect to these base quantities, the dimensional unit for every other physical quantity can be calculated.
  6. Derived dimensions are dimensions that are derived from other base quantities.
  7. For example, the unit of force is newton or N, but its dimensional analysis is MLT-2.
