Open in App
Solution

Example for the required polynomial :

  1. Terms are the values on which mathematical operations take place in an expression. A term can be a constant or a variable or both. For example, in the expression 3x+8; 3x and 8 are terms. i.e. there are two terms in this expression.
  2. Trinomial is a polynomial which has only three terms.
  3. Degree of a polynomial is the highest power of variable in a polynomial equation.
  4. Now, a trinomial of degree 2 is a polynomial which consists of only three terms with highest degree 2

Hence, x2+2x+5 is an example of a trinomial with highest degree 2
