Give an example of the motion in which average speed is not zero,but the average velocity is zero.


Solution

When the object travels in a circular path it's average speed is not zero but it's average velocity is zero because it's Displacement will also be zero.. and we all know that :

Average velocity = fraction numerator d i s p l a c e m e n t over denominator t i m e end fraction

So,the average velocity will also be zero.
