FACTUAL SITUATION: Ravi and Rahul share a room in a youth hostel. One day, Rahul leaves the room and sees that his three friends Kunal, Abhishek and Bunty are quarrelling outside the youth hostel. Suddenly, Kunal stabs Abhishek with a knife. Rahul is horrified and returns to his room and tells about the incident to Ravi. After some time, the police reaches the hostel and asks question from students. The police asks questions to Ravi also. Ravi tells the police that Kunal stabbed Abhishek.

The correct option is B Ravi's statement has no value in the eyes of law
Section 60 of the Indian Evidence Act makes only oral evidence admissible which are direct. Therefore, Hearsay evidence is no evidence.
Ravi's testimony that Kunal stabbed Abhisek is not admissible as it not a direct evidence and is a hearsay evidence.
Ravi has not seen what has actually happened and he has only heard about what happened from Rahul. Therefore, Ravi's statement has no value in the eyes of law.
