For (I): The net capacitance C=C1C2C1+C2=2×42+4=4/3μF and net resistance R=R1R2R1+R2=1×21+2=2/3Ω

Thus, time constant τ=CR=(4/3)(2/3)=(8/9)μS

For (II): C=C1+C2=2+4=6μF and R=R1+R2=1+2=3Ω

Thus, time constant τ=CR=(6)(3)=18μS

For (III): C=C1+C2=2+4=6μF and R=R1R2R1+R2=2/3Ω
