Hari bought 20 kg of rice at Rs.36 per kg and 25 kg of rice at Rs.32 per kg. He mixed the two verities and sold the mixture at Rs.38 per kg. Find his gain per cent in the whole transition.

Amount spent in buying 20kg of rice20×Rs.36=Rs.720
Amount spent in buying 25kg of rice 25×Rs.32=Rs.800
Total amount spent CP=Rs.(720+800)=Rs.1520.
Total quantity of rice=(20+25)kg=45kg
SP=45×Rs.38=1710
Profit%=171015001500×100=12.5%
Gain=12.5%.
