HCl gas on passing into water yields a solution of density 1.095 g/mL and containing 30% HCl by weight.
The expression for the molarity of solution is, M=percentage by weight×10×dMw2.
Substituting values in the above expression, we get,
M=30×10×1.09536.5=9 M
Hence, the molarity of the solution is 9 M.
