Yes energy can neither be created nor be destroyed in any reaction but it can convert into another form . eg--The electrical energy converts into kinetic energy in a fan.
We should worry about energy resources as during the process of conversion a huge amount of energy can be lost which cannot be re gain by any process and thus reducing our energy sources.
