Difference between Starch and Amylose:-

STARCH	AMYLOSE
Starch is made up of polysaccharides.	Amylose is made up of monosaccharide units.
Starch is a polysaccharide made up of amylose and amylopectin sub-units	Amylose is a polysaccharide made up of glucose subunits.
It consists of both linear chain and branched chain polysaccharides.	It consists of a linear chain of glucose molecules.
Starch when reacted with iodine, it forms a blue-black colour due to polyIodide formation.	It reacts with iodine and immediately forms a blue colour.
