The non-useful (non- recyclable) components of the garbage are separated by the Safai Karamcharis. These separated components of garbage are then spread over landfills and covered with multiple layers of soil. Once the landfills are completely full, they are usually converted into parks or playgrounds. For a period of around 20 years, no building can be constructed on that land.
