How can we relate acids, bases and salts with their element Identification?

Mostly acids contain H+ which can be liberated along with a non-metallic ion while bases contain OH which can be liberated along with a metallic ion. Salts, on the other hand, just contain a metallic and non-metallic ion without and H+ or OH.
