How did we know that light (EM radiation ) is not emitted but reflected from the moon because when we see it from earth we would only see A light(EM radiation ) how would we differrentiate between the empires or reflected?

From my point of view.. reflection of light is something that an object never absorb. Like how we see a particular color, the objects reflect the color which is not absorbed by it. Nd emmision is emitting of light radiation due to vibration in subatomic particles after the absorbed energy. for visible light to be emitted by an object, its temperature has to be just over 100 Kelvin, which is over 700°F!
Scientists can determine if an object is emitting light versus reflecting light by comparing its temperature with the wavelength of light associated with it. For example, a leaf outside is reflecting green light, not emitting green light. In order for it to emit green light, it would need to have a temperature way over 700°F! Do you ever worry about burning your finger touching a leaf? Probably not.
If electricity is involved, a light source might be emitting light, such as a lightning bolt or the computer screen you are looking at.
