Question

How do you find the difference of two numbers as a percentage ?

Open in App
Solution

Imagine the numbers 83 and 27.
83100=0.83=83%
27100=0.27=27%
Δ% =83% 27% =56%
Explanation:
We can take two integers and turn them into decimals to get the percentage. From there, we can take the difference of two chosen percentages by minusing the smaller one on the large one.
I have used the Greek letter Δ (Delta) here to show difference. So by using Δ%, I am trying to say "Change in percentage".
