How does "sleet" differ from "hail"?

Sleet is a form of precipitation consisting of small pellets of transparent or translucent ice, 5mm or less in diameter on the other hand hail is small balls or pieces of ice with a diameter ranging from 5 to 50mm or sometimes more, falling either separately or agglomeration into irregular lumps.
