The number which when divided by 2 or 4 that leaves a remainder of 1 can be written as 4k+1 ( k greater than or equal to 0 ) and it can also be written as 7m+2 ( m greater than or equal to 0 ) .

The First term in the series is 9 and the common difference is 28.
989=9+28(n-1)
n-1= 35
⇒ n=36
