The correct option is B 1.6
$$HgCl_{2} + 4 KI \rightarrow  2KCl + K_{2}HgI_{4} $$

From the above equation, 

1 mole of $$ K_{2}HgI_{4} $$ requires 4 moles of $$KI$$ 
 
0.4 moles of  $$K_{2}HgI_{4} $$  requires $$0.4  \times 4 = 1.6 $$ molesof  $$KI $$

$$\therefore $$ To produce 0.4 moles of $$K_{2}HgI_{4}$$, 1.6 moles of $$KI$$ is required
