From spermatogonium, primary spermatocyte is formed and by mitosis. Then from one primary spermatocyte, two secondary spermatocytes are formed by meiosis followed by the formation of spermatids and finally 4 spermatozoa. As each secondary spermatocyte results in the formation of two spermatozoa, 200 secondary spermatocytes will give rise to 400 spermatozoa.
