If the spots for two different substances are same, both the substance contain the same dye and hence one of the substance is a constituent of the other.

Since the number of spots produced by fruit juice on the chromatogram is 3, there must be three different sugars that constitute the fruit juice. Two of the sugars are sucrose and mannose since their spots are same as that of the fruit juice
