Radius of cone (r) =3 m
Height of cone (h) =4 m
The height and radius of a cone form a right angle.
Suppose the slant height is l cm.
By Pythagoras Theorem,
l² = r² + h²
⇒ l² = 3² + 4²
⇒ l² = 9 + 16
⇒ l² = 25
⇒ l = 5 m

The amount of fabric required to make the conical tent = Curved surface area of a cone
= πrl
= 3.14 × 3 × 5
= 47.1 Sq cm
