Question

how the mechanism of changing the shape of the cell in plants differ in that of animal?

Open in App
Solution

Changes in the plant cells occur due to the changes in the turgor pressure which is met by the movement of water inside or outside and this sudden response is carried out from cell to cell in presence of stimulus whereas in animals there is involvement of nervous tissue that is involved in the transmission of impulse when a stimulus is encountered and thereby bringing about the changes in the muscle tissue involved. The response can be voluntary or involuntary in case of animals.
