Question 2 (i)
Find the capacity in litres of a conical vessel with:
(i) radius 7 cm, slant height 25 cm.
[Assume π=227]

Open in App
Solution

(i) Radius (r) of the cone = 7 cm
Slant height (l) of the cone = 25 cm
Height (h) of the cone =l2r2
=(25272) cm
=24 cm
Volume of cone =13πr2h
=(13×227×(7)2×24)cm3
=(154×8)cm3
=1232 cm3
Therefore, capacity of the conical vessel
=(12321000) litres (1 litre=1000 cm3)=1.232 litres
