(i) Glucose and galactose are obtained on the hydrolysis of lactose as shown in the figure. (1) Galactose and (2) Glucose

(ii) Vitamin C cannot be stored in our body as it is soluble in water and excrete out with water. Another example of water-soluble vitamins is vitaminB.

(iii) Nucleoside = Ribose sugar+ Base.
& Nucleotide= Ribose sugar + Base+ phosphate.
