Since (1p) is the root of quadratic equation x2+px+(1p)=0 ...(1)
So, (1p) satisfies the above equation
(1p)2+p(1p)+(1p)=0

(1p)(1p+p+1)=0

(1p)(2)=0p=1
On putting this value of p in equation (1)
x2+x=0x(x+1)=0x=0,1
