Initial velocity, u = 20 m/s
Final velocity, v = 0 m/s
Acceleration, a = - 5m/ $s^{2}$ (minus sign because of deceleration)
Time, t = (?)
We know that,
a = $fraction numerator v minus u over denominator t end fraction$
∴ t = $fraction numerator v minus u over denominator a end fraction$
∴ t = $fraction numerator 0 minus 20 over denominator negative 5 end fraction$
∴ t = 4 s
