Solution

The correct option is C

26.2%

According to the Chargaff's rule of base pairing,
1. In a given DNA, the purines and pyrimidines are always in equal amounts i.e. A+G= T+C
2. The amount adenine is always equal to thymine and amount of cytosine as always equal to guanine i.e A=T and C=T

Thus, if C=23.8%, G=23.8%
A+T+C+G=100
Therefore, A+T=(1002×C)%and A+T=(1002×23.8)%=(10047.6)%=52.4%
as, A=T, A=26.2% and T=26.2%
